Mid-Summer Musings From Dom

Hello Sea Sprite racers and enthusiasts!

I hope you all are having a great summer and are enjoying some time on the water with your Sea Sprites!

We have had a fantastic regatta a few weeks back with LOTS of wind and waves pushing all of us to the limits with gusts up to 28kts and a constant wind of 20kts! You can find a great recap from Bob Rude in the next post after this one.

Here are some more photos from the Regatta courtesy of Dave Guinther:

Wednesday nights have been outstanding with lots of Sea Sprites participating each week with very close finishes and rankings! We have three more Wednesday races left, with the last (make up) race to be held on September 3rd. It be awesome to see all the registered boats out there and see if we can get 10 boats on the starting line! With just a little planning, you can make it happen! This Wednesday is looking good with light winds suitable for all.

Then the pinnacle event of the season is our Sea Sprite Fun Race around Hog Island on Saturday, September 6th, 2pm start. Mark your calendars and we’ll send out the NOR and the SI’s soon.

Hope to see you all out there!

Happy Sea Sprite sailing!

Dom
